Pokhara University has adopted the semester system in its academic activities. The prominent features of the semester system are the process of continuous evaluation of a student's performance and the flexibility to allow the students to progress at a pace suited to the regulations of credit requirements: one lecture hour per week per semester is assigned one credit. That is, a three-credit hour course has 48 class hours in a semester. The faculty member in charge of the course will conduct internal evaluation of the students. The Final examination will be held at the end of each semester and will be conducted by Pokhara University.
Procedure for Admission:The Admission form and information brochures are provided on request by the College on payment of a fee as fixed. The eligible candidates are required to take an Entrance Test. The College also interviews the candidates for making admission decisions. The candidates given provisional admission (pending submission of the necessary certificates) will be required to submit their certificates within a month of the admission date.
Eligibility:Any student who has passed +2 Level, ISC or Equivalent with at least 1st Division marks (Physical Group or Biological Group) is considered eligible.
Attendance: A student must attend every lecture, tutorial, seminar and practical class. However, to accommodate for registration, sickness and other contingencies, the total attendance has to be at least 80% of the total classes actually held. If the student is continuously absent from the college for more than four weeks without notifying the head of the institution, his/her name will be removed from the college rolls.(Vide article 8 of Semester System Regulation, 12th meeting of Academic Council of Pokhara University.)
Evaluation System:
A student's performance in a course is evaluated in two processes:
- Internally by the concerned faculty member through quizzes, tutorials, laboratory works, home assignments, class tests, class participation, term paper, etc.
- Externally by the University through semester end examinations. In general 50% weight is given to internal evaluation. The other 50% weight is given to final semester end examination. The grades (marks) awarded to a student in a course are based on their consolidated performance in both these types of evaluations.

SGPA = Total honor points earned in a semester
